9/15/1961 for me. some days I feel like it should be

Poor Jesse, you've missed so much sleep you need to see if you can get a "Rip van Winkle" pass. I wasn't alive during the Kennedy assassination, but close enough.
I think one of the earliest tragedies during my lifetime was the explosion of the Space Shuttle. There is always some memory of importance, sometimes days are remembered, but months and years get in the way. :)
