I agree, but not totally. I have seen a few in the Flash/Flex world that while making no bones about where their heart is, readily admit faults in the technology.

SilverLight is the only environment I'm interested in, for a lot of good and valid reasons. However, I have no problem stating where Flash/Flex are superior.

I, like many, don't expect SilverLight to be whole and complete on day one. Adobe has had many years to solve problems, and is just more mature in some areas.

SilverLight will get there.

I believe at all what you say. I realized you that want to demonstrate the most important thing is our purpose. Such as, What do we want to do?, What do we expect from the (RIA or other)technologies and how much do they go well with us. so, You are quite right for me. and that's why silverlight is our light. :) thanx for this so cordial and realistic article.

Jesse, your points are well taken. I also go back as far back as CPM and MPM using Digital Research products for development and then Turbo pascal and etc. But I have also come to same conclusion as what you said in the following phrase:

"If I want to write an RIA, Silverlight is the natural fit; the fact that it is incredibly great, and that it is getting huge support from a very innovative group within an incredibly well funded company makes it a no-brainer – for me."
